If you are planning on being outside a lot on your self drive tour, we would recommend you are prepared for all weather types. It’s not uncommon in Scotland in summer to have beautiful weather one day, and torrential rain the next! We would recommend you bring raincoats and layer up. If you are travelling in summer, it may be wise to also bring lighter clothes in the event of sunny weather.
